Partnering with office design and fitout experts, Calibro Workspace, JJ Loughran sought a strategic transformation of their headquarters in Cookstown, Ireland to support a projected 40% increase in workforce by 2026.
Addressing both immediate needs and future ambitions, the office layout was designed to emphasize collaboration and teamwork, while maintaining an industrial aesthetic to pay tribute to the company’s heritage brand. ‘Linear’ acoustic ceiling Baffles in color ‘Charcoal’ were chosen to integrate subtly into the exposed ceiling above the open-plan workspace, offering integral sound absorption properties required for focus and productivity.
Strategically positioned, the baffles guide the eye through the open plan office to create a sense of space, while also contributing to the sleek and modern ambience. With each row of baffles spaced evenly apart, the vibrant red beams of the exposed ceiling remain visible, injecting a burst of color into the space.
Acoufelt’s QuietSpan ‘Linear’ Baffles were not only selected for their impressive 0.75 NRC rating, but also because they are comprised of 60% recycled PET material and generated using 40% solar power – aligning with JJ Loughran’s commitment to sustainable practices.
Brought to life over a swift six-week period, the revamped office now boasts an open plan workspace, a welcoming client area, private offices, meeting spaces, and a tea point, fit for JJ Loughran’s expanding, high-calibre workforce. The result is a space that will accommodate the company’s growth and innovation well into the future.
