FAQs

Our sound-absorbing panels trap sound waves in their porous, fine-fiber structure to reduce excessive reverberation and echo. Acoustic wall panels can offer NRC values up to 0.85, depending on their thickness and the inclusion and size of air gaps between the material and wall surface. As a general rule, the thicker the material and the larger the air gap behind the material, the better the acoustic result. This is because there is more opportunity for the sound frequencies to become trapped in the material, as well as in the airgap behind.

By installing acoustic wall panels to reduce excess sound reverberation, this will contribute to a more comfortable soundscape. Panels can also help to decrease overall levels of background noise, improve speech comprehension and intelligibility, and create more productive and intentional soundscapes. On the flipside, a negative acoustic environment can contribute to occupant stress and poor mental health.

On top of our acoustic wall panels, Acoufelt carries several other acoustic collections. Our range includes acoustic wall planks, shapes and tiles, and acoustic ceiling panels, baffles, tiles and clouds. Still wondering what acoustic product may be right for your space?
