To support a growing and technically diverse workforce, an International Technology and Data Firm partnered with workplace design and fitout specialists, Modus, to bring their vision to life. Their goal was to create a scalable, future-proof workspace that could accommodate the varied needs of their staff while maintaining a cohesive, modern aesthetic. Spanning 98,000 square feet across nine floors, the office needed to integrate spacious breakout areas, seamless design elements, and sustainability-driven solutions.

A key project objective was achieving Net Zero Carbon and WELL Platinum accreditation, meaning every material and finish had to contribute to environmental and wellness standards. The challenge was balancing functionality, aesthetics, and performance while ensuring that the space supported the well-being and productivity of employees.

Given the large open-plan design, effective noise control was essential to creating a comfortable and productive environment. Without proper acoustic treatment, sound could carry across the expansive layout, causing distractions and reducing focus. To address this, Acoufelt was engaged to provide an targeted acoustic ceiling solution that would enhance sound management in the large breakout spaces while complementing the contemporary design.

The client selected Acoufelt’s Castillo Ceiling Tile, known for its dynamic 3D form, Class A acoustic performance, and seamless integration with lighting and ceiling services. These tiles were specified in the ‘Almond’ colorway, offering a soft, natural contrast against the black framing. This selection not only reinforced the modern aesthetic but also improved light reflection, ensuring the spaces below remained bright and inviting.

Castello is crafted from Acoufelt’s signature FilaSorb™ material, an acoustic felt made from over 60% recycled PET and manufactured with 40% renewable energy. By incorporating sustainable materials, the project successfully aligned with its WELL Platinum goals, ensuring both environmental responsibility and superior workplace acoustics.
